People Are Already Lining Up In New York For The Unannounced iPhone 5S

Standing in line a couple days for a new release product is one thing, but standing in line for no less than two weeks for a product that isn’t even announced? Well, that’s happening.

Several people have already begun to lineup outside of the Fifth Avenue Apple Store in Manhattan in anticipation of the soon to be announced iPhone 5s. Apple is expected to unveil the 5s, along with a lower cost iPhone 5c, September 10th, with the actual product launch coming 10 days later on September 20th. That means that these customers will be waiting outside this Apple Store until at least around the 20th, if not later.

Two newcomers to the line were surprised to see that they had already been bested by even earlier line sitters. The two new entrants represent their own company “SellYourMac” and seem to be waiting in line as a smart publicity stunt for their company. (Which is clearly working)

The fact that the phone still hasn’t been announced makes it especially crazy. Heck, Apple could theoretically delay the launch for a couple months just to troll these people. (Don’t worry, that won’t happen. Probably.)

If you were planning to lineup outside the Fifth Avenue store, perhaps you should leave now.
