Rdio Gets Updated With Personalized Stations
While a number of different companies including the likes of Apple and Google are releasing online radio services, Rdio is trying to improve its own so it can compete. Rdio has released a big update to its Stations feature, bringing a number of improvements like personalized results to users.
Rdio will now use things such as your listening history, artists you’ve liked on Facebook or followed on Twitter, and track voting to ensure that you get personalized playlists that you enjoy. The service, however, still requires users to be Rdio subscribers, which membership for starts at $4.99 a month for just desktop use.
Here is a part of the company’s announcement on its blog:
We’re thrilled to reveal the new and improved Stations today. We’ve made stations smarter and custom-tailored to you, creating an effortless listening experience that highlights the best of Rdio: elegant design and social discovery.
