Twelve South Launches The Ultimate Stand For iPhone 5 And iPad Mini

Twelve South, the Apple-only accessory maker behind the popular BookBook cases, has unveiled a new charging stand that it claims is the “ultimate pedestal” for the iPhone 5 and iPad mini. It’s called the HiRise.

The stand is made from metal and designed to work with your Apple Lighting Cable, as well as just about any case you choose to dress your device up with. You can place your iPhone 5 or iPad mini on the stand to charge while you’re on a conference call or using FaceTime. It won’t block your speakers, mic or headphone ports, unlike a lot of other iPhone stands and chargers.

The design of the HiRise is sleek and simple enough that you can put it anywhere at home or in the office and it’ll fit right in, and it’s at a great adjustable angle so you can still easily use your iPhone while it’s being recharged. It comes with three different adjustable clips and positions the Lightning connector at a raised height that works for you.

“We love HiRise because it provides such a great home for your iPhone when you’re not on the go. Park your iPhone on HiRise to keep it fully charged, display incoming messages and alerts, and video chat, hands-free, with FaceTime or Skype with your camera facing right at you. It’s a simple device, but once you use it, it’s hard to live without it,” Creative Director of Twelve South, Andrew Green, explained in a blog post.

You can get your own HiRise today for $34.99 from the Twelve South website.
