Even though this year’s MWC, or Mobile World Conference, hasn’t officially started, it isn’t too early for Samsung to begin copying Apple’s creative work. Someone who has early access to the MWC show floor has shot a photo of a digital Samsung billboard that looks oddly similar to Apple’s iPad mini billboard. The Samsung billboard features a single hand wielding a Note 8.0, just like Apple’s iPad mini ad. We’ve embedded photos of both ads in this post.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 is expected to be announced at this year’s Mobile World Expo event in Barcelona. The device is supposed to compete with Apple’s iPad mini, which has been a major hit for the company since it was announced in October 2012. The Note 8.0 has been leaked numerous times over the past couple of months and is supposed to feature Android 4.1, 2GB of RAM and a 1.6GHz quad-core processor.
Coincidence? I think not.
