Tim Cook To Sit With First Lady During Tomorrow’s State Of The Union Address

Apple CEO Tim Cook will reportedly be sitting with First Lady Michelle Obama as President Obama delivers his State of the Union address on Tuesday, according to a White House official. He will be joined in the First Lady’s box by military families, those working towards immigration reform, and people who have been touched by gun violence.

Michelle Obama has also invited Bobak Ferdowsi, known as NASA’s “Mohawk Guy.” He is a member of the Mars Curiosity rover team at NASA and Caltech’s Jet Propulsion.

Last year, the First Lady’s guests included Laurene Powell Jobs, Steve Jobs’ widow, and the co-founder of Instagram, Mike Krieger.

Those who sit in the First Lady’s box often get mentioned during the speech so it’s a possibility that Apple will be mentioned in some capacity. It could have to do with Apple’s plans to bring Mac production back the U.S.

This will be President Obama’s first State of the Union address during his second term in office. It will be held tomorrow evening, starting at 7pm Eastern.
