Apple Special Event Also Available For Live Stream On Website

We reported earlier this morning that a new “Apple Events” channel appeared on the Apple TV so that Apple fans could watch a live stream of today’s media event. Now, for those who don’t have an Apple TV, a new update to Apple’s website shows that you can also watch it on Apple.com via your Mac, iPhone or iPad.

There are a few stipulations to this, of course. According to the website, you need Safari 4 or later on Mac OS X v10.6 or later or Safari on iOS 4.2 or later to live stream the video. To live stream via the Apple TV it requires a second or third generation Apple TV with software of 5.0.2 or later.

So get ready! You can watch as the whole thing unfolds in just a few hours. Who needs live blogs?
