Mark your calendars and get your credit cards ready as Apple has just announced that they will be holding a media event next week on the 23rd of October at 10am PST. On the invitation Apple stated that they have a “little more to show”, so we can only assume that they will be announcing the the rumored iPad ‘mini’ at this event. If you’d like to view the invitation to the event for yourself, we’ve embedded it above for your viewing pleasure.
Apple is also rumored to introduce new iMacs, Mac minis and Retina MacBook Pros on the 23rd, so this event is definitely something to look forward to if you’re in the market for a new Mac or tablet.
If you’re unaware, the iPad mini is rumored to sport a 7.85-inch multitouch screen, Lightning charging/syncing as well as a beautiful new design that may resemble that of the fifth-generation iPod touch. Apple is ultimately releasing this device to compete with the Kindle Fire, Nexus 7 and Nook Tablet, so we should see this device cost somewhere between $250 and $300 at launch.
