Apple To Launch New Lineup Of iMacs This Fall?

This fall is gearing up to be an exciting time for Apple fans and the September 12 event is just the beginning with the launching of Apple’s next-generation iPhone. New reports are speculating that a new lineup of iMacs are also coming this fall, according to Fox News.

The biggest questions surrounding new iMacs has been whether or not they will be Retina iMacs, and most reports indicate that they won’t be. But there are a few things that new iMacs are likely to include, like new Ivy Bridge processors, improved graphics chips, USB 3.0, and expanded SSD capacities. They will also supposedly be slimmer, with Apple removing the optical drive from the side.

While there is no actual date confirmed for the new iMacs, it’s possible that the iMac announcement could happen in October, alongside the rumored iPad mini announcement. However, Apple has been known to update iMacs without making a big to-do about it, so who really knows. Hopefully Fox News is right, though, and we’ll see the update sometime this fall.
