If you’re into the green scene, you have to check this out! Robert Mango, the founder of Mango Designs, has recently launched a Kickstarter project. His product is pretty simple — Robert will be taking pieces of cardboard packaging from various products and cutting them down to the size of an iPhone backplate. After this, he will apply an adhesive to the back of the cardboard slice, which will allow them to be stuck to the back of an iPhone 4 or 4S. These skins will not only make your iPhone look unique but will also be recycling old cardboard at the same time. Pretty neat, right?
So, how much funding does Robert want? Surprisingly, not that much. Robert is trying to raise a meager $500 via Kickstarter to pay for a customized press plate that will allow him to cut skins easily and more precisely. As of now, Robert is using an X-Acto knife to cut his sample skins. And since the manufacturing process is completely mechanical, no electricity will be used when producing the skins.
