Amazon Instant Video For iPad Updated With Search Functionality

Amazon

Hey, are you an Amazon Prime member with an iPad? Well, you’re in luck! Earlier this month, Amazon released an app for the iPad that allows subscribers to stream full movies and TV shows from their catalog at no additional cost. Sadly, the first version of the app wasn’t great.

In version 1.1 of Amazon Instant Video for iPad, we finally have the ability to search for content. That’s right, 1.0 didn’t have a search function. Bizarre, right? Well, it’s not perfect, but at least this is better than nothing.

In addition to search, they also released a tweaked version of the navigation bar to reduce confusion, and they’ve made steps forward in stomping out the remaining bugs. Who knows? In a few months, this app just might be something worth using. Until then, we still have the Netflix app.

So, are you liking the ability to play video from Amazon right on your iPad? Are you happy to see these updates? Well, take a second, and leave a comment below this post. We’d like to know how many of you even use Amazon’s service. What’s New in Version 1.1:

  • New Search function added. Find your favorite movie or TV show from Prime Instant Video.
  • Improved navigation bar.
  • Various bug fixes.
