Judge Tells Apple And Samsung To Figure Things Out Or Face “Risks”

Judge Lucy Koh has told Apple and Samsung to get together, figure things out, and find a settlement on the patent dispute before the court is forced to go to a verdict. In essence, it’s time to put on some big boy pants and figure things out like adults.

Ina Fried, who’s been providing excellent coverage of the Apple-Samsung trial, recounted Koh’s comments on All Thing’s Digital today:

The federal judge overseeing the Apple-Samsung patent trial on Wednesday asked the chief executives of both companies to meet one last time to see if some sort of settlement might be reached … “I see risk here for both sides if we go to a verdict,” … “It’s time for peace,” she said.”

This isn’t the first time that the court has asked both sides to reach some sort of compromise, but previous attempts and meetings between Apple and Samsung haven’t resulted in any changes or compromises on the dispute.

I don’t know about you, but these patent lawsuits are starting to get really long in the tooth. We’re going to try to keep them to a minimum here on Macgasm, and only provide posts on major developments moving forward.
