Apple just released an update for its Apple Store iOS app. The major feature released with the update is additional customization abilities for users interested in purchasing a Mac.
Thanks to the new update, users now have the option to have Pages, Keynote, and Numbers pre-installed on any MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, or Mac Pro. This feature has also been added to the online Apple Store. Individually, each app costs $19.99, which is equal to the cost of purchasing them from the App Store after having already bought a new Mac.
The update also brings “performance enhancements” that make it easier to shop for Apple products while on the go. There is no more detail than that about what this actually means.
Apple has yet to make an iPad version of the Apple Store iOS app, as it is only available for the iPhone and iPod touch. You can get the updated app for free on the App Store.
