All three applications in Apple’s iWork productivity suite have been updated to maximize full use of the new Mountain Lion release, which dropped today. These updates also allow the applications to take full advantage of the Retina display for the new MacBook Pro.
The applications that make up the iWork suite include Pages, Numbers and Keynote. According to Apple, the new features in Pages 4.2, Numbers 2.2, and Keynote 5.2 are:
- iCloud: Store documents in iCloud and keep them automatically up to date across your Mac, iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, and the web. Changes made to a document on one device automatically appear on all your other devices.
- Dictation: Speak words, numbers, or sentences and watch them appear in your document.
- Pages 4.2, Numbers 2.2, and Keynote 5.2 are also enhanced to take advantage of the Retina Display on the new MacBook Pro so documents appear sharper and more vibrant.
Other applications have also been updated to support compatibility with Mountain Lion, including iMovie, iPhoto, and Aperture.
