Rumors abound about a potential iPad mini. How small could it be? When would it be available for purchase? Yesterday it was reported that it would be launching later this year. Today a report from The Wall Street Journal backs this rumor up, saying that Apple’s suppliers are now preparing for mass production of the device in September.
If this report is true then mass production in September would point towards an October unveiling alongside the next-generation iPhone.
Rumors of Apple working on a smaller iPad have been around for a while. Some have speculated that a smaller iPad has been in the works at Apple long before the announcement of Google’s new Nexus 7. Many believe Apple is attempting to compete with the smaller tablet by releasing its own version.
