The key to a good puzzle game is being simple without being simplistic. The basic concept should be easy to pick up, but accomplishing tasks should be challenging. Ichi has this nailed. You control the game with just a single tap or click, but it will require some serious brain power to solve all of the puzzles.
Your goal is to bounce a beam around the map using reflectors so that you can get points by hitting objects. The game comes with over fifty levels, and there are more coming from the developer. That said, there are an infinite number of levels thanks to a built-in level builder. You can make your own levels, share them with friends, and play levels created by other players. It’s an insane amount of value considering it is available for iOS and OS X in their respective App Stores for under three bucks. The iOS version is $0.99 USD, and the Mac version is $2.99.
If that wasn’t enough of an incentive, the iOS version has Game Center support, so you can compete with your friends to be the best Ichi player. Let’s see who can get all of the Game Center chievos first.Follow @macgasm
