An untethered iOS 5.1 jailbreak is just around the corner according to Chronic Dev Team hacker Pod2g. Pod2G took to Twitter to spill the beans. The jailbreak is already in testing, and works on most iOS devices that run iOS 5.1. The hack isn’t quite ready for production yet, needing some more fine-tuning and packaging, but rest assured, it’s close. Pod2G has also released a video on YouTube showing the jailbreak in action.
Not really much else to report. That said, there’s no word on if the iOS 5.1 jailbreak will work with Apple’s latest 5.1.1 iOS patch earlier this week. If we hear more, we’ll be sure to let you know!
