Second round of ‘new iPad’ launch countries announced

Apple has filled us in on a second round of iPad rollouts. On Friday, March 23, twenty-five more countries will be getting the new iPad, including: Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau, Mexico, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovaksia, Solvenia, Spain, and Sweden.

As for the rest of us folks already on the release list, Apple announced that the new iPad will go on sale this Friday starting at 8:00 am local time. Original release countries include US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, and the UK.

If you’re meet with long lineups at your local Apple Store usually, you may want to consider hitting up a third party reseller for your iPad. I’ve seen a couple of occasions where there are no lineups and I’ve been able to walk into the store and pick one up immediately.
