Tweetbot, the new darling of the world of iOS Twitter clients, has pushed version 2.1. While the iPhone version is still in Apple’s queue, the iPad version is available right this second.
Included in this update are two very important features. First of all, Tweetbot now has the ability to display tweets as they are posted live to the site instead of having to pull to refresh or wait for a 5 minute timer. This is wonderful, but it sadly only works when you’re on Wi-Fi. People on cell networks are stuck using the old fashioned way of getting their tweets.
Secondly, the iPad app has been updated to take full advantage of the upcoming Retina display on the new iPad. All of the UI elements and displays will be crisp from day one. That’s great to hear, and I hope most of the iPad apps out there follow suit very soon.
