Apple updates 2008 MacBook Pro EFI firmware, addresses screen flickering

Apple has released an EFI firmware update for 2008 MacBook Pro owners. The firmware addresses display flickering in the late 2008 15-inch MacBook Pro models, which also happens to be my current MacBook Pro. Yay!

From the release notes:

This update is recommended for MacBook Pro (15-inch, late 2008) models. The update resolves a graphics issue that may cause the internal display to flicker.

Just when I thought that it was time to buy a new MacBook Pro because my display was dying on me, Apple goes out and updates the MacBook Pro firmware for my laptop. High five, Apple. You can get the update directly from Software Update.
