Alright, everyone. There are a TON of charging docks out there for the iPhone. Don’t get me wrong. Some of them are amazing, but most are variants on a theme. No creativity – just different colors. However, the Possession Book Charging Dock by A.S. Byatt from 2000 stands up and out. Why? It’s a freaking book! An illegible one, but a book nonetheless. It gives this amazing illusion that your iPhone has perfect balance on its edge.
A small, light gray cloth novel makes the prettiest, slickest, chicest iPhone and iPod dock you’ve ever seen. It looks like a mild-mannered book on a table or a desk, you almost don’t notice that it’s an iPhone charger. No more dropping the cord behind the desk or nightstand!
The charging cord is secured within the “book,” and is compatible with all versions of iPods and iPhones. Pick one of these book charging stations up for $48. If you’re in the U.S., shipping will cost you $7. If you’re in Canada, $14. And, everywhere else on the planet, $17. First thing I’ll do with mine is tell everyone I found the edge of the iPhone’s “center of balance.” You?Follow @macgasm
