Apple is doing it again. They’re trying to capture the attention of everyone by offering something with “The Beatles” on the front. Remember when The Beatles hit iTunes last year? Well, now iTunes is offering their Yellow Submarine book for free.

Designed by Fiona Andreanelli and adapted by Charlie Gardner from the film’s original screenplay, the free download features animated illustrations and text from the book, 14 full-color video clips from the original 1968 film, and classic audio clips of hits. In addition, the app features some interactive things like bouncy sea monsters, butterflies, and starfish — sure to make you all warm inside. So there’s not much more to say than go download the book if it interests you. However, don’t be surprised if you hear that the book has been downloaded a million times. The Beatles songs, released late last year, reached over 2 million downloads in one week despite critics questioning the move.

I've been trying to download this for three hours, and it's still going. Either this is the biggest iBook in the history of iBooks (including the laptop), or something is a foot.

Or they are limiting your download bandwidth because you're in Canada, and as you know, Apple hates Canada ;-) BTW I just started downloading and I'm already almost half way downloaded, FIOS FTW.
