Apple launches annual 12 Days of Christmas giveaway

Once again this year, Apple is running their 12 Days of Christmas holiday promotion. The promotion is run in select countries in Europe as well as in Canada, but unfortunately, the offers are not available in the U.S. Between December 26 and January 6, new gifts will be offered each day, available to download for 24 hours. In the U.K. App Store, an app is available that gives you easy access to this promotion and rumor has it that a similar app will be available in the Canadian App Store soon.

The gifts may include music, music videos, apps, TV shows, movies and books. Last year in Canada the giveaways included episodes of The Big Bang Theory and Mad Men, the movies Bandslam and One Week, The Book of Negroes by Lawrence Hill, and music and/or music videos from David Guetta, Kings of Leon, and Bedouin Soundclash, amongst others.

For those who don’t own an iOS device, you can apparently visit iTunes on December 26 to download gifts from your computer instead.
