1080pappletv Next Gen Apple TV references found in iOS 5.1 beta
Rumors of a new Apple TV have been running rampant but nothing concrete has hit the scene until today. iH8Snow has revealed a new product, codenamed J33, which could very well be the first mention of one of our favorite “Hobby” products from Apple.

The name J33 makes its appearance in the latest beta release of iOS 5.1, and new product identifiers showing up in beta releases of iOS historically mean hardware revisions are beyond the mere internal testing phases, and actually imminent.

little printer Little Printer is cute, tiny, adorable, and THE answer
The printer as we know it is pretty much dead. I can’t remember the last time I printed anything at home. But, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t a few situations where a printer may come in handy. For instance, the digital age we live in with iPads and iPhones makes it easier than ever before to manage things like todo lists digitally, but for some of us, printing out small things like directions, quick notes, or grocery lists is still something we like to do. Sadly, dedicating a square foot on my desk for a printer just to print out small notes isn’t exactly something I’m willing to do at this point in the game.

Little Printer, however, not only takes up way less space than a traditional printer, printing on paper the size of a receipt, but it’s also looking like it may be the answer to post-it notes for the digital age.

siri1 iPhone jailbreakers can now get a little Siri dictation

If you hate not being invited to a fun party then you’ll be interested to know that Siri dictation can be installed on non-4S iPhone devices, so long as you’re willing to jailbreak. True, it’s not the most fun part of the Siri party, but Siri dictation is a pretty snappy voice-to-text feature that some folks would like to get their hands on.

steve jobs ipad Fortune releases a Steve Jobs retrospective iPad appFortune has released an iPad application that illustrates The Legacy of Steve Jobs over the years. The application, a retrospective of Jobs’ accomplishments, focuses in on the story of Jobs and Apple through the eye of the Fortune journalists over the last three decades.

The application looks and reads like a magazine dedicated to the late Apple-founder. So, if you’re looking for biography level depth, you’re not going to find it here; however, it does tell a similar story, and provides great visuals along the way.

steve jobs drawing Steve Jobs portrait made out of nothing but wordsRedditor cheeseboyhalpert has created a portrait of Steve Jobs using nothing but words. He’s taken ours away; that’s for sure.

The artist swears it’s 100 percent all words, and we’re going to take his word for it. Either way, it’s a pretty stunning depiction of the famous Jobs portrait.

ia writer iA Writer update with iCloud support propogating on the App StoreWe’ve been waiting patiently for a fully iCloud-integrated text editor to make its way to the App Store. As we write this post, iA Writer, the popular minimal writing app, is propagating across Apple’s global App Stores.

Oliver Reichenstein, founder of iA Writer, posted an update on his Google Plus page:

First full iCloud implementation outside Apple’s product line! iA Writer for iPad and Mac, now both with iCloud … (propagating… will pop up in your app store any moment now)

If you’ve been waiting to make the purchase, now’s probably the time to buy iA Writer. I just did. Hopefully it takes over as my app of choice for writing posts on a daily basis. Also, both applications (Mac and iPad) are currently on sale to celebrate the iPad integration.
