It’s true. The iPhone 4S is really coming to another U.S. carrier. Here’s the twist: the carrier isn’t T-Mobile! Now to some of you, this doesn’t come as a surprise (the T-Mobile not getting the 4S part). After all, the company said so themselves. The odd part is who’s getting the spanking new smartphone. The winner is… C Spire! Oh, and pre-orders start today.

Siri is coming to any iOS 5 device soon, no jailbreak required
October 19, 2011
Siri is now running smoothly, for the most part, on all iOS 5 devices. To be specific, those devices are the iPad 1, iPad 2, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3G, and the iPod touch 4G.
Jackoplane, the mastermind behind this hack, has announced today that he has successfully ported Siri to other devices running iOS 5, and has gotten them to communicate with Apple’s servers without any issues. What this means essentially is that all iOS 5 devices are indeed capable of running Siri. The best part? No jailbreaking is required.

Today marks two weeks since the passing of Apple co-founder, Steve Jobs. Today is also his memorial. However, CNET UK took things a step further by making a video that captures the essence of Steve’s legacy.
Did Siri’s response spill the beans on future features?
October 19, 2011
Siri sure fooled us! When Apple demoed the newest iPhone technology two weeks ago we didn’t expect the robot girl to be so talkative. Sites have already started popping up, one by one, highlighting the funny and interesting replies the personal assistant makes. However, when the guys from ElectricPig asked her a few questions, her responses might have spilled the beans.
Workaround allows you to “Remember The Milk” using Siri
October 19, 2011

The team over at Remember The Milk (RTM) have put together a nice little how to on getting Siri to populate your RTM list. Basically it involves adding a CalDav account to your iPhone, and setting it as your default “List”
This causes Siri to build your reminders in your Remember The Milk list rather than the standard (on phone) list. You could do this with any CalDav service really. GSync is already my active CalDav service and reminders were automatically synced to my Mac and Google Apps account.

NH Investment says Android is “neck-and-neck” with Apple
October 19, 2011
NH Investment & Securities analyst Kang Yoon Hum has said a few words about the state of Apple versus Android, and seems to think it’s too close to call. After today’s presentation from Google and Samsung of Android’s next evolutionary step, Ice Cream Sandwich, Hum says, “In terms of technology and functionality, it’s hard to find a big difference between Android and iOS any more. They are neck-and-neck.”
Legal battles continue between Apple and Samsung
October 19, 2011
The ongoing legal battle between Apple and Samsung has not paused in the past week, with lots of punches being thrown from both sides. U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh confirmed Apple’s assertion that Samsung’s Galaxy tablets do, in fact, infringe on Apple’s iPad patents. The trick, however, is establishing the validity of the patents themselves. If Samsung can show that Apple’s patents may not be valid under the law then the case against them unravels. Interestingly, it was during this hearing that Koh made her now-famous move of holding up the two tablets and asking Samsung attorney Kathleen Sullivan to tell her which was which, which Sullivan could not.
