Fantastical gets an update to 1.1 and we’re giving it away!

Giveaways, Mac News

Keeping track of your appointments and daily activities are hard enough as it is without a calendar. Inputting these events could be a lot easier, and in fact, it is easier with Fantastical.

Fantastical, reviewed by Susan back in September, has recently been updated to version 1.1, bringing with it iCloud syncing capabilities, as well as the ability to edit notes from directly within the application. Fantastical also now has CalDav support so you can work in Fantastical without having to run iCal simultaneously to sync your calendar information to you iPhone or iPad.

The application is $19.99 on the Mac App Store, and worthy every penny. But, we’ve teamed up with Fantastical to bring you a giveaway.

We’re tossing around the idea of integrating Punchtab with our website, and what better way to test it out than using it for this giveaway.

It started as a hobby and turned into a full-time job for Josh. One minute he was keeping notes on his switch to the Mac and the next thing he knew he was the full time Editor-In-Chief for Macgasm. He spent his early years designing and developing Web sites, but now it's all writing, all the time. Josh also currently contributes to PCWorld. He produces two podcasts, The Macgasm Podcast, and The AppOrchard, and can be heard on CBC Radio once every couple of years, despite secretly wishing that was a more frequent gig.

It would replace a combo of iCal and QuickCal.

It would end up replacing CalendarBar for me.

It would replace the full use of iCal or Google Calendar. Kind of annoying to have to open up one or the other to get something into my many calendars.

I don't know why everyone is commenting, but I'll chime in.  With Fantastical I haven't opened iCal in a long time. ;)

It's replacing iCal.

QuickCal. I really love QuickCal's new UI but, for some reason, I have to open iCal in order for the appointments I've made to be pushed to iCloud. It would be nice to avoid this extra step.

It would make iCloud & iCal even better, and assist me in missing less events :D

This would prolly replace iCal and Alarms.

fantastical might replace iCal and Agenda

FantastiCal is definitely replacing iCal itself.

Fantastical would be replacing CalendarBar

iStat Menus calendar. I need more flexibility and FantastiCal looks like the perfect substitute!

It would replace iCal and system memory because it would not need to be open all the time.

iCal...I won't have to leave it open.

Fantastical would be replacing iCal.

Alarms, for sure! I bought it, but FantastiCal is amazingly better.
