A lot of whoop-dee-doo has been made lately about how Apple is suing Samsung for infringing on copyright and stealing their intellectual property. Today, using a little image I found on Reddit, I’d like to prove once and for all that Apple is just imagining things…

Apple Thunderbolt Display teardown, complete with fan!
September 28, 2011
9to5mac wrote this morning about my buddies over at iFixit.com tearing down the new Thunderbolt Display, and I was pretty pumped. Being that it’s a docking station in a monitor, and we just got a couple of them at my office, I was curious to find out about the insides.
Apple’s edge-to-edge glass in their latest lineup is extremely creative in its construction and assembly. Like the iPad, or iPods of old, one would expect to find a large slab of glass attached to the frame with a hefty dose of some strong adhesive, but on the contrary, Apple has inventively engineered these gorgeous displays.
ITC investigates HTC’s complaints against Apple
September 28, 2011
Apple’s legal battles are nowhere near an end, an the ITC (US International Trade Commission) is stepping in to take a closer look at HTC’s recent complaints against Apple, claiming copyright infringement. HTC already had complaints filed against Apple, but amended them in early September to include more patents that had been acquired from Google. While the case is expected to take 18 months to resolve, the ITC will submit their ruling within 45 days. It’s the ITC’s job to look at how the US does international trade, and it falls under their auspice to decide whether or not a product can be shipped into the US based on its relationship to copyright law. In short, the ITC could stop Apple products from being shipped into the US from its manufacturing sources if they think those products infringe on HTC’s patents.
iPhone 5 already managed to convince 41 percent of mobile users ready to switch?
September 28, 2011

In a study that in my opinion may just be hyperbole, it’s being reported that 41 percent of mobile phone users in North America are planning to switch from their current phone to the iPhone 5. It’s also reported that 50 percent of those users will do so within the first 6 months of the still yet to be announced iPhone 5.
Minecraft coming to iOS (sorta)
September 27, 2011
It’s been a long time coming, but Minecraft is finally making the leap to iOS in the form of Minecraft: Pocket Edition. The insanely popular smash-hit indie game has been gobbling up PC CPU cycles for a while now, but it’ll arrive on Android on the 29th of September (if that’s your thing) and iOS before the end of the year.
Valve stops taking its time, DOTA 2 development sped up
September 27, 2011
Valve is hardly known for its urgency — just look at how long Half Life 2: Episode 3 has taken. It’s pretty safe to describe Valve’s development cycles as ‘glacial.’ That’s why when it announced it would be developing the stand-alone sequel to Warcraft III, Defence of the Ancients (DOTA), the majority of fans released a sigh of trepidation mixed with cautious excitement.
