It was probably only a matter of time, but it seems that scammers are already trying to cash in on the MobileMe conversion to iCloud. An email is being sent around asking users to convert their accounts from MobileMe to iCloud by filling out an online form that looks like a pathetic attempt at an Apple website. The grammar in the email is also impeccable.

The link takes you through to a flowersddy.co.uk website. Don’t click, don’t update, and more importantly, don’t give it any of your information.

The email reads,

Dear MobileMe member,

Please sign up for iCloud and click the submit botton, you’ll be able to keep your old
email address and move your mail, contacts, calendars, and bookmarks to the new service.

Your subscription will be automatically extended through July 31, 2012, at no additional charge.
After that date, MobileMe will no longer be available.

Hat tip to Jason Philo for sending this in

Apple TV Rumor: Apple could be looking to stream television content to the Apple TV

Apple knows media distribution. In fact, they managed to revolutionize the way we not only purchase music and movies, but they’ve also managed to change the way that people purchase applications both for their mobile devices, and now their personal computers. It wouldn’t be that large of a leap to assume that Apple wants to revolutionize the way consumers get their television shows.

A Wall Street Journal source has indicated that Apple is currently working on a new video delivery mechanism that will change the way the major networks deliver content to their customers. We know what you’re thinking: Apple already delivers television shows through iTunes, and provides customers with the ability to purchases shows on a per episode basis, or by season.

Plink plonk. That’s the sound of 30 million people playing PopCap’s Peggle across all platforms. Released back in 2009, Peggle managed to replicate its PC success on iOS, racking up a ludicrous amount of downloads (myself included). To celebrate the monumental landmark, Popcap has released an iPad native HD version.

My, Sega has been busy today. First up is the news announcing a Back to School Sale on the App Store. Realistically this is just another attempt to squeeze more money from gamers, because in reality, those that are aware of the games on sale have long finished school.

Meet the new executive team at Apple, it’s the same as the old team

mgmt Meet the new executive team at Apple, its the same as the old teamWe’re trying to not get too carried away with the Jobs’ resignation news, so we’re going to be keeping those posts to a minimum. But, we thought we should point out that the executive organizational chart over on Apple.com has been updated to illustrate the changes from yesterday.

Tim Cook now sits in the CEO position, and everything else seems to have remained in the same place.

Why are we pointing it out? Well, simply put, it’s a pretty good example of Apple carrying on the same as it ever was, and we don’t expect anything major to change. Apple’s still got products in the pipeline that we think will be a major hit, they still have a huge war chest (to the tune of about $65.8 billion), and their executive team remains strong.

It’s only day-one after the big news broke, but as you’ve probably inferred from the post, we don’t’ expect very much to change in both the near or longer term future.
