If you want a multi-touch laptop, your best option may actually be a WINGStand and an iPad in the upcoming months. Seriously. Thanks to a tip from Mat Smith, we’ve just been given a heads up about what looks to be one of the best ways to connect your iPad to a full-size, wireless Apple keyboard. The WINGStand also lets you use it alone, without a keyboard, should you find yourself needing a stand more than you do keyboard.

That’s the real genius of it. Why would you get a case with a keyboard, and a separate iPad stand when you can get a WINGStand that works with products you may already own?

The stand isn’t available yet, but it is currently receiving funding on Kickstarter. If you want to be one of the first to get your hands on it, head on over there and make a donation.

About Joshua Schnell

It started as a hobby and turned into a full-time job for Josh. One minute he was keeping notes on his switch to the Mac and the next thing he knew he was the full time Editor-In-Chief for Macgasm. He spent his early years designing and developing Web sites, but now it's all writing, all the time. Josh also currently contributes to PCWorld. He produces two podcasts, The Macgasm Podcast, and The AppOrchard, and can be heard on CBC Radio once every couple of years, despite secretly wishing that was a more frequent gig.

Thanks for the post! www.WINGStand.com

They're often the best solution. It really blows my mind when companies expect me to pull my iPad out of it's case, put it in one stand, then another with a keyboard, then in a sleeve for my bag, and back into a case for travel.  Something like this WINGStand really makes life easier.
