In a move that can be described as genius, if not painfully obvious, a new Cydia tweak has been released that adds a speedometer to the iOS Maps app.
Speed for Maps overlays the speedometer over the map interface in a way that is unobtrusive and almost feels like it belongs.
You can grab the app now from Cydia on your Jailbroken iOS device right now. Once installed, you can specify the units of measurement you want your speedometer to display. The options include miles, feet, kilometres, meters and knots.
To the crafty, thoughtful developer(s) who created this Cydia tweak, we say to you: “Well played, sir.. Well played.”

Can I get some clarification on why this is epic? Do you look at your phone or your speedometer to see how fast you are driving?
I am confused on why this is anything more than useless?

LikeThis isn't THAT epic, i agree, but its a step forward to showing apple what they're missing in iOS and their crappy Maps app... I hope that Apple will notice this and realize that they need to add a lot more into the iDevices that they make.

LikeWhat we have here is called an opinion. :) I think it's pretty rad.. So I wrote epic.. Not sure what else you're looking for.
Side note, forget driving, what about riding a bike? On a sailboat? Walking?
