Back in May, I told you about FDX Reader. Recently, Quote-Unquote Apps has released an update to their fantastic screenplay reader, making it both more mobile and less expensive. Developed along with screenwriter John August, it is currently the only app on the App Store that will read Final Draft screenplay files natively.

Apple launches iMac 1TB Seagate Hard Drive Replacement Program

Apple has launched a repair extension program for certain 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMacs. The models — which shipped to customers between May 2011 and July 2011 — are prone to the failure of their internal 1TB Seagate hard drives.
Apple will replace these drives free of charge via the Genius Bar Apple-Authorized Service Providers.

The truly wonderful guys over at iFixit made an interesting discovery earlier today. It seems that the new Mac minis may actually be able to house two hard drives.

Free downloads let you activate Launchpad from your pre Lion keyboard

Lion has brought with it a boatload of new features including Mission Control and Launchpad. Apple is releasing new keyboards that allow you to activate these new features with F3 and F4 respectively.
If you are using an older keyboard, your F4 key is stuck launching Dashboard instead of Launchpad. That is, unless you download FunctionFlip and Quicksilver to remap the keys.

It took nearly a year for Apple to make good on the promise of a white iPhone 4. Manufacturing issues and quality control were seemingly to blame. Now though, we are getting yet another white rumor from Cupertino, and this time it’s for a white iPod touch.
