macgasm apple store Turns out Apple is taking its store to Grand Central TerminalThe New York post has confirmed it. Apple is bringing an Apple Store to the famous Grand Central Terminal. The store has long been rumored. We reported the negotiations way back on Feb. 7, long before most even knew the negotiations were taking place. But, since then there’s been quite a bit of speculation about the deal falling through and being taken off the table by Apple.

It seems like Apple and the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) people in New York City have been working on a deal all along to bring a massive Apple Store to the Grand Central Terminal. It’s looking like a done deal now.

FACEBOOK Unreleased Facebook iPad app extracted from published iPhone version

Hiding things in plain sight is a pretty decent strategy unless you’re dealing with software. Facebook has just proven that to be true as TechCrunch has found the unreleased Facebook iPad app buried inside the iPhone executable, and they have torn it apart to show us the guts.

LionICloud Developers get first peek at iCloud as Apple seeds OS X 10.7.2

Apple has released the latest beta of OS X Lion, 10.7.2, skipping over 10.7.1, which will likely become a minor update to fix a few initial bugs in the Lion Gold Master.

The only change that has come to light in 10.7.2 appears to be support for iCloud.

Minecraft is a marmite game — you either recognise it as an indie masterpiece with LEGO sandbox creativity, or as a pixelated snooze-fest that has you clicking blocks until you grow old from boredom.

Whichever your opinion, it’s hard to ignore the fact it’s become an indie powerhouse in a short period of time. As a developer, you know you’ve made it once other games begin to tag Minecraft as a descriptive term — it happened with Grand Theft Auto and the same has begun to happen for Mojang’s game.

01 21 airdrop3 When it comes to AirDrop, no two Macs are alike.
I am really enjoying Mac OS X Lion.  I have upgraded all four of my Macs to Lion, and everything looks to be working well. There are a few hiccups here and there, but overall I am able to fix them or get around them. One thing I found, though, is not so much a glitch as a missing feature. That missing feature is no other than AirDrop. Apparently, when it comes to AirDrop, no two Macs are alike.

Bike Baron Bike Baron due mid August, flip and jump your way to success

Currently there are a lot of “physics based skill racers” for iOS and they generally follow the same vein: navigate an often ludicrously twitchy vehicle through loops, jumps and hills to get to the end point. This is made more difficult by obstacles, necessary tricks and the fact that you’re being pressured by time limits.

Apple recently updated its suite of productivity apps, more commonly known as iWork, to include support for some of the new features in Mac OS X Lion.

iWork has always consisted of three programs: Keynote, Pages, and Numbers. Keynote is a slideshow creation program, the actual program that Apple uses to produce Steve Jobs’ big keynote presentations. Pages is a word processing application, and Numbers is a spreadsheet program.

OS.X.Lion .Server.Ready .to .Install.001 Mac OS X 10.7 Lion Server: The Review

I may be one of the odd people out when it comes to Mac OS X. While I don’t mind using the Mac OS X client version on my machines, I prefer running Mac OS X Server. I’ve purchased each version of OS X Server since Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. When I purchased it, I bought the 10-client license for $499. I also spent another $499 on the unlimited client version of Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Server. This time around I joined the Mac Developer program and was able to use it for the $99 entry price.
