So apparently selling a whole bunch of a product means you will make money, and the MacBook Air from Apple is no different.
The refreshed version of Apple’s MacBook Air is selling really well, and if the reviews are any indication of satisfaction with the product, the sales won’t be slowing any time soon.

Either people are really struggling with their iPhone 3G phones or consumers are starting to get iPhone fever again. According to a PriceGrabber report, 35 percent of those surveyed are planning on purchasing the next-generation iPhone. Who are we kidding — it’s probably both of the aforementioned cases all mixed up.
Apple’s had supply problems in the past when it has released new iPhone models, and given the fact that this release is already going into September, there’s probably going to be added demand for the phone. That means bigger lineups! Woo.

At Comic-Con in San Diego last week, ZeptoLab announced a partnership with Ape Entertainment to bring the character “Om Nom” from the Cut the Rope game to digital comics. While there have been many video games based on comics, it’s uncommon to have a video game character do the reverse and make the jump to comics.
I had a chance to ask Misha Lyalin, chairman of ZeptoLab, a few questions about the move, and why they decided to make Om Nom a comic book character.

Another day, another “major break” in the hunt for iPhone 5.
Today’s leak, if we can call it that, comes via a Target ad for their prescription service. Apparently you can refill your Target prescriptions while on the go from a yet to be announced piece of Apple hardware.
Convinced yet?

Some things are prettier than others around Lion. Some animations add to an application’s charm while others just add CPU cycles and RAM leaks. In my opinion, mail animations are a little of both. Those who have relatively new machines won’t even notice, but for those of us who have upgraded to Lion on slightly older machine, the animations just add lag to sending email.
Those of us who send a lot of email don’t have time for lag. I don’t have time for lag.
The kool kats over at OS X Daily have managed to stumble across a terminal hack that lets you turn them off — for good. Instead of stealing their thunder like so many other websites seem to do these days, we’re just going to send you over there to check it out.
I’ve already turned mine off and noticed some pretty significant differences in response time for Mail.app already. You may want to check it out.

Ah, youth. Getting drunk on a single Bacardi Breezer, failing with girls and playing Snake on the school bus — those were the days. We all sunk countless hours into the Nokia 6110 and Snake before eventually upgrading to the 3310 for Snake II. With that you could go through walls — it was a revelation, and it was all done without the joys of a touch screen.
Nostalgia aside, Snake has been the inspiration for many a game. Whether collect-em-ups or score based scrollers, most of its clones overload the simple idea with too many gimmicks. The result is a confused mess that forgets what made Snake so good in the first place. One such game that doesn’t fall into these pitfalls is Hard Lines.

While I’m not a smoker, I can appreciate a good hack when I see one, and this iPod mod is no different.
Flickr (boobies be at that link) user Marianne Wilson has been holding onto what looks to be a broken 5th gen iPod for quite some time. Unable to simply throw away such a classic device, she repurposed it into a cigarette case.

When you’re flying high, is there really any need for a price cut? With sales going so strong, cutting potential income doesn’t really make much business sense. That is unless you’re Rovio, creator of one of the most popular iOS games of all time, Angry Birds.
