If you weren’t quick enough to get in on WWDC 2011 this year, but you still want to get in on the information Apple was providing, you’ll be pleased to know that Apple just released all of their 2011 WWDC videos onto iTunes.
But, here’s the sad-panda moment: You have to be a registered developer to get access to the videos. You can grab the videos on iTunes by navigating to the Development Videos page on Apple’s website, and logging in with your developer account.
All videos are available in standard and high-definition video formats, and all are iOS compatible.

This is more than likely the last big update to Snow Leopard. However, like Leopard before it, 10.6 should continue to have access to security updates after Lion is out next month.

Oh, you’ve been there. You know how I know? I’ve been there more times than I’d like to admit. You’re in dire need of a file, have no idea where it is, so you head to Spotlight, only to be met with the dreaded indexing icon. You know the one. It’s the magnifying glass, but this time, it has that dreaded dot in the middle. So, in a panic you click anyway, but you’re met with an indexing notice.
Thanks to Apple and Lion, no longer.

Screeny is a small utility for capturing both screenshots and screen-casts. Once opened you will find it sitting patiently in your menu bar until the time you call upon it. It’s not a very complex app — and it needn’t be for what it is trying to achieve.

Both Apple and Nordic Semiconductor are now on the Bluetooth group’s SIG board of directors. They will hold that position for two years, starting on July 1, 2011, and they will be joining Intel, Motorola, Lenovo, Nokia, Microsoft, Ericsson AB, and Toshiba on the Bluetooth SIG board.
The main focus of the group is to drive Bluetooth expansion into platform and sensor markets. Many people in the press are now speculating that the move could mean that more iOS and Mac specific Bluetooth devices could be on the horizon.
According to the Bluetooth group’s press release:
The way consumers utilize digital devices is undergoing a fundamental shift – mobile phones, laptops and tablets, TVs and even cars now stand to serve as hub devices that capture data from small sensors monitoring everything from footsteps, heart rate activity, blood pressure and sugar levels to house temperature. Hub devices turn that data into useful information at the application layer, then may push that information to the cloud.
Adding Apple to an already strong board of directors is obviously a smart move, and we don’t need to re-state the obvious here, but it’s pretty clear that Bluetooth is going to be playing a very large part in our devices as we move to a more mobile computing environment. Hopefully this is the beginning of something great for both Apple and Bluetooth.
