Flickpad HD brings The Commons, backgrounds and handy new user tour to iPad app

Flickr and Facebook fans rejoice. Flickpad HD, the popular iPad photo-browsing app, has been updated to include new support for Flickr’s archive of public photography, otherwise known as The Commons. For those wondering what Flickpad HD is, there’s also good news.

The developers, Shacked Software, has implemented a tour for new users when they load the application for the first time. There’s also the inclusion of five different backgrounds, and you can switch between Facebook and Flickr photos much easier.

Finishing off the update are the usual bug fixes, UI enhancements and a new app icon. You’ll need iOS 4.0 on your iPad and $3 if you don’t already own it.
