Mac, Misc. News

If you’re into virus applications then you’ve likely heard about Intego. They’re one of the heavy hitters when it comes to securing your Macs against viruses. Today Intego has released VirusBarrier Plus for $7.99 on the Mac App Store.

The application supports both Mac and Windows malware and will prevent you from forwarding on the problems to friends and family, regardless of what platform they’re on. It’s pretty crucial in today’s world.

VirusBarrier Plus will also let you schedule scans regularly so that you don’t have to worry about manually scanning your machine from time to time.

You can get the app now on the Mac App Store for a discounted price. Intego will be increasing the price to $9.99 in two weeks. Now’s the time to get it if you think you need the protection.

I like the new price, but I've yet to be impressed by virus software for Macs.

I currently use MacKeeper, it's been pretty good and offers lots more than virus protection. It's still just kind of been meh. :)
