There are sexy iPhone cases, and then there are OMGWTFBBQ-sexy iPhone cases. This is the latter. This $38,000 work of art not only includes a geniune alligator skin shell, but it also boasts a De Bethune clock that could make a heart stop.

Apple may be facing iPod battery shortage
March 29, 2011
According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple’s facing a tight supply of lithium-ion batteries in the near future. The problem has been traced back to a “relatively obscure Japanese chemicals maker.”
It’s being reported that Apple, as well as other companies, are being directly affected by the recent events in Japan. Nearly 70% of all lithiium-ion batteries rely on a polymer produced by Kureha, but they were forced to shut down their factory near the Japanese quake’s epicenter on March 11th.

Analyze your golf swing with Tiger Woods’ My Swing iPhone app
March 29, 2011
Gone are the days of going down to a local driving range to get your golf swing analyzed by a pro. Starting today, you can get your golf swing analyzed on the iPhone. In addition to the automated analysis, the application directly compares your swing to Tiger Woods’ swing.
To get your swing analyzed, all you have to do is download the app on the App Store, record your swing, and then compare it to 24 swings by Tiger Woods.
The cool thing about the app is that Tiger Woods has the ability to upload new swings to the app server, where the swing will immediately be made available for analysis.
Pretty nifty. If you’re a golfer, you’re going to want to check this one out.
Frankly, my swing is so terrible that the only thing that would save me from humiliation on the course would be giving up the game entirely. Thankfully I’m stubborn enough that I still play from time to time. Who cares what others think, right?
Has Apple infiltrated the jailbreak community?
March 29, 2011
If you can’t beat them, join them. At least that seems to be Apple’s new mantra when it comes to patching jailbreak bugs according to Comex.
One of the more influential hackers in the jailbreak community, Comex believes Apple may have planted a hacker on the iPhone Dev Team. The move, if it turns out to be true, would explain Apple’s ability to patch jailbreak exploits before the iPhone Dev Team could release their software to the public.

Netflix Canada lowers bandwidth usage by 2/3rds in direct response to ISP data caps
March 28, 2011
Netflix Canada announced that starting today movies and TV shows in Canada will now use up two thirds less data than previously. According to the email sent to users, the change was made because of the low data caps of Canadian ISP’s. “We know that many of our Canadian members have monthly Internet data caps. This new default account setting will significantly reduce the amount of data Netflix delivers to you each month.”
Coupled with recent content deals with Paramount, Netflix is starting to look a little more attractive north of the border. It’s clear that they are taking the market very seriously, and trying whatever they can to stay competitive.
