Boy Genius Report has been sent a realistic mockup of the iPad 2 from an anonymous tipster. Everything we’ve hoped for is here: the redesigned speaker gril, the back-facing camera, and a new, slimmer design. The edges of the iPad 2 are tapered, and there is no ’2′ on the iPad branding.
This design is a good idea of what we will see on Wednesday. Hopefully the iPad 2 won’t be just a spec bump. We won’t be covering the event on March 2nd live, but our buddies at The Loop will be.

Of course there is going to be no #2 on the back. And I'd bet that Apple will never refer to it as The iPad 2. It will just be, the new iPad.
