According to a report at Apple Insider, Apple’s hard drive-based iPod classic was the 5th-best-selling music player on the market in 2010. The 8 GB iPod touch was the most popular model.
Rumors of the iPod classic’s demise have circulated for years. Apple Insider seems to think that the product’s strong performance will protect the iPod classic from the cutting board. While I’m not sure that’s true, I do know that the device’s massive storage makes it an attractive product for many — including myself.

AppleInsider also predicted the death of the Mac mini 3 years ago and wrote an obituary. Bad bad website. I'll stick with macgasm thanks.
