iPad gets new wallpappers in iOS 4.2 beta 3

Apple’s updated iOS 4.2 to beta 3, and along with it has come a bunch of new wallpaper options. They’ve added about a dozen new options to choose from.

I was going to let this one slide, but it raised a question. Who uses the default Apple wallpapers? I haven’t used a default wallpaper in years. Personally, I prefer wallpapers that are more minimal and less distracting, but it seems that I’m at odds with command-control in Cupertino.  They love pictures that dominate your desktop, and the iOS choices for the iPad are no different.

If you’re looking for some awesome minimalistic wallpapers, check out Deviant Art.

I have to agree that wallpapers (IMO) should be minimalistic. While the photos included in the Apple default wallpaper collection are attractive, they don't work well behind the app icons - just too contrasty, at least for me.

I hate being distracted by flashy wallpapers. ;)
