MacBook firmware update addresses battery problems

If you have a Macbook from 2007-2008, run your Software Update. Apple has released a firmware patch that clears up some bugs with your battery. The bug doesn’t affect everyone, so you might not have noticed it, but if you’ve switched to an L-shaped MagSafe adapter recently, and you can’t get your laptop to charge, this should fix your problem.

You can get the update through your Software Update, or by downloading the installer (Macbook or Macbook Pro).

I seem to be having a similar problem with my early 2009 Macbook Pro. The MacSafe adapter’s LED indicator doesn’t light up anymore. I haven’t been able to figure it out. If anyone has any ideas, feel free to let me know in the comments.
