Nokia mounts their high horse over Apple’s phrasing

9 to 5 Mac is reporting that Nokia is up in arms over Scott Forstall, Apple’s senior vice president of iPhone software, using the phrase “Connecting people.” Nokia apparently has the phrase Trademarked, and they’re steamed over it.

I’d understand the outrage if Apple used the phrase as a tagline or something along those lines. From what I can tell, it was just a throw away line that Scott just rattled off. Trademarks don’t disallow other human beings from speaking that specific phrase. Nokia perhaps should play it a bit cooler.

What do you think about this? Is Nokia in the right, or are they picking nits? Let us know in the comments on this post, or hit me up on Twitter.
