As of yet, there are no publicly known plans for Skype to implement Apple’s FaceTime spec, but it would certainly make loads of sense. Why wouldn’t Skype want to take advantage of this new and open spec that Steve took the time to demo so prominently at WWDC? Apple is clearly putting their weight behind it, and Skype would do well to jump on this bandwagon as soon as possible.

What are your thoughts? Are you excited for more companies to use FaceTime? What about other apps? Can you think of some situations that FaceTime could really improve? Sound off in the comments, or you can hit me up on Twitter.
