There has been a lot of speculation in the past few months as to WHEN exactly the Verizon Wireless company will see it’s first iPhone. I say “when” because the rumors circulating are getting overwhelming enough to see the truth. It’s going to happen. It’s clear as day that people on Verizon want the iPhone. A simple investigative research on Google will give you that conclusion. If you go type “iPhone” into Google you will see the popular suggestions to finish off what you’re trying to search for. “iPhone Verizon” is the highest suggestion on the list.
Apparently, this thing is in the bag. We saw the train wreck after Gizmodo covered the iPhone 4G prototype, and we know that an e-mail was sent out to developers about Apple’s conference at the WWDC on June 7 (WWDC June 7-11, 2010). The Wall Street Journal, one of the most credible sources in the world, hints that the iPhone 4G will be released in two forms. One of which will be functioning with Verizon’s CDMA support and the other for AT&T’s 4G network. Yes, these are just “rumors” at the moment. But as the time of WWDC grows closer, they’ll become more than just that. Either we’ll hear more news leaked over the month of May, or we will have a confirmation that Verizon is NOT getting the iPhone at all.
The iPhone 4.0 software update (and hopefully iPhone 4G) will be out in June, which makes for an interesting summer for both consumers and developers. The new software will deliver the social gaming center application and multi-tasking; just to name a few! One of the most exciting new features for the iPhone 4G is the front facing camera that we saw in many design sketches. With that in mind you can’t help but further the proof of the finds that developers found in the source coding for video chatting!
WWDC is a little over a month away and the rumor pools are just starting to spin. In a week we may know everything, or we may know nothing more. What’s exciting is that this conference is turning out to be one of the most exciting for Apple and their fan base!
