I found the email client poorly optioned. While I was pleased it left email on my POP3 server, there was no warning the *test* would download every item on the server. This took 10 minutes and would cost over $5000 on some plans. No progress indicator or even a message to indicate what was being tested.

The client needs a "headers only at first" option. Indeed some bodies were actually not downloaded (possibly due to character sets like GB2312), but it would be good to have control.

Ports and security. While I have a POP3/SMTP arrangement, and fair enough it tries SSL first, there are other options I or my ISP may wish for.

Back to "every item on the server". I would like to selectively filter by recp: (or by subject) and this is not yet possible. I hope it comes in November, along with printing (yay).

Very dissapointed that a search of the app store reveals *no* email client apps. that could provide relief ? Must be a forbidden app functionality ?

I love my iPad but the one glaring fault is that you can't create multiple folders for mail storage, all mail sits in the one inbox.

I store hundreds of e-mails per month in designated folders in Apple Mail every month. Where will I store and save these e-mail communications on the iPad?
