appvent Get a Free iPhone/iPod touch App Every Day in December
Appvent Calendar is offering a great giveaway of iPhone/iPod touch goodies this month. Check out their calendar (today, they’re offering 33rd Division free; that app was previously a top Paid app) every single day to see what goodies they have in store. Every day from December 1st until December 22nd, there will be a giveaway of games and all fun of sorts. Blacksmith Games, the masterminds behind the project, promise special surprises on December 23rd and December 24th — but that time, you won’t be seeing free games. One can only wonder what goodies they have in store.

In any event, check out the Appvent Calendar and grab the freebies while they last. Remember, each game is only available for one day, so act quickly!

Awesome ! I’m going to be hitting their site everyday this month :-) By the way does anyone know what is the limit on the number of apps that can be installed on an iPhone. I have the 8GB model. I’m just asking are we limited by a partition size less than 8GB or can we keep adding apps as long as the 8GB is not full ?

You can partition your phone drive, but normally you’re just held to the space you have available on your phone. So if you have 1gb of music, then you’ll only have 7gb for apps, etc.

You are limited to a total of 11 pages of apps (180 total apps) on your iPhone/iPod Touch. However, I just found an article (Google “iphone app limit”) that says your apps don’t actually get removed from your iPhone, nor do you get any errors when trying to add more than 180, the icons for those apps simply don’t show up on your app pages. You apparently can still access them from the Spotlight search tool. I haven’t tested, though, as I am still just barely under my 180 visible app limit.

Bang on, this is one Tamar’s pet peeves. Personally I think it’s one heck of a lot of apps, but I guess some people just need more pages. ;)

What are the applications on the iPad that are like microsoft office? I know some of them. Microsoft word, power-point, and excell, but are there any more?
