They are claiming that ROGERS is no longer the fastest or most reliable 3G network. Turning off 3G brings it down to 2G and that isn't in question here. If you are in Canada, you'll be fine on 3G, but if you roam internationally, your iPhone will roam on EDGE if 3G HSPA is not available.
