Lock Your Folders

Grant Brunner | Fri, Nov 6, 2009

Have your folders exactly how you want them? Keep people from mucking with them by locking them. Right-click the folder you want locked, and the click Get Info. Under the General area, click the Locked check box.

Now, all of your settings will remain. Your labels won’t get screwed up by the kids, and the ball-and-chain won’t move your folder by accident. Most importantly, you won’t drag files to the wrong folder by mistake anymore.
