Everyone seems to be complaining about this,
but occasionally programs need to be simplified
(removing features that no one uses) and adding
new features (usually highly requested ones).
MobileMe syncing was probably used by .5% of NetNewsWire
users, and GoogleReader was requested by a lot of people afaik.
They had to get rid of their syncing service; I'm sure to save money,
and add GoogleReader maybe to make some money (but it was in high demand).
With all this negative press though, maybe they'll add some MobileMe support back.
But the transition seems to be as seamless as possible if you already have a google account, and just a minor inconvenience if you don't.
I see what you guys are saying, but I personally think this whole integration thing will create some new innovations in NetNewsWire ((PubSubHubBub [Push!], FriendFeeds, etc.)

LikeMy issue is a philosophical one. I don't want to support a company that actively inconveniences their users.
If you don't feel inconvenienced by it, great. If you do, I endorse using other applications instead. That is pretty much my only point.
