Save the bee’s friends! In Dizzy Bee ($2.99) and Dizzy Bee 2 (also $2.99), you play Dizzy Bee, a helpful little critter who must save his fruit friends who have been frozen in ice. Tilt your iPhone or iPod touch and capture them before it’s too late!
Points are awarded for collecting flowers and creating chains of friends who all get to the goal without interference — that is, there are also enemies that can kill both Dizzy Bee and his little fruit friends. Once you pass a level, you’ll find yourself facing more and more difficulties in harder levels.
Both games are quite similar, so if you love Dizzy Bee and its varying levels, you’ll love Dizzy Bee 2. There’s also a free version that you can try.
I found the game incredibly enjoyable. The concept of Dizzy Bee is great, and unlike other games, the added element of having a flying insect made it a lot more challenging. You can’t always easily guide Dizzy Bee to the goal — he’s not always super fast. Sometimes, getting struck by an enemy will seem to be unavoidable. It’s your job to master your Dizzy Bee and hope that he gets out of there safely.

WWDC is coming closer and we’re already beginning to see early evidence of iOS 7 via web traffic. That bit of news was tied to some early concept ideas about iOS 7, one about the overall design and the other about possible App Store trials. Apple’s killing off its SuperDrives slowly but surely. If you have a new MacBook Air, or a Retina MacBook Pro, there’s probably been a couple of times you’ve found yourself wishing you had access to a CD Burner at one point or another. Sure, it’s probably only a couple of times, but for some, it’s still a necessity. Apple has placed its USB SuperDrive on sale over at Amazon. Normally weighing in at $79.00, you can now pick one up for $69.00. I grabbed one. It may be a dying technology, but sadly my car only plays CDs at this point.
