In today’s fast paced life we don’t always have time for the little touches or to answer the same questions over and over again. With Typinator, you can set up instructions, links, URLs and much more to work with a custom abbreviation that you can remember. With just a couple keystrokes you can write a Paragraph or a full URL to a site. You can even post images. This is useful software that we can all take time to get to know.

Apple does more then desktop machines, and any loyal Mac fanboy has probably spent quite a bit of time trying to justify to themselves why they need an Xserve for the home network. Â I won’t tell you that you “don’t” need one, but I’m about to make things a little bit more difficult for you.
Apple updated there Xserve line today. Â The two baseline options are as follows:
Just like the rest of the Apple line up these days, they’re playing up the “Green” label, and state that these have “More Power. Less Energy”

Everyone’s favourite backup robot just went Pro.
I wasn’t really sure how the Drobo could be any more “professional”, but they’ve managed to prove me wrong. Â You can now plug in up to 8 disks for a total ob 16 terabytes of data. Â Now, that’s a lot of music, movies, and video games. Â It also has a triple interface possibility which allows for Firewire 800, USB 2.0 and iSCSI. Â You can even mount this beast in a server rack.
We’d love to get our hands on one of these suckers to put through the paces. Â We can’t give any first hand knowledge on how “good” it is, but, if it’s anything like the original Drobo, then you’re in good hands if you pick this sucker up!

So, after a terribly frustrating day trying to get a huge .pdf into something that might be acceptably viewable on my iPod Touch, I tried deleting various test photos from iPhoto.
Delete. No freed up disk space. Delete another event. No freed up disk space. Small tick in the back o’ my noggin.
iPhoto has a separate Trash. Which needs to be emptied by hand. Go check your iPhoto right now, I bet most of you have been happily deleting photos without even realizing that they’re not actually gone.
I checked preferences and didn’t see any way for it to empty on quitting so it looks like we’re stuck remembering.

AHHH!!! There are only two days left to get your $850 bundle of applications for only $39. Boinx TV has been unlocked, and there’s only about $60,000 in donations left to get both The Hit List, and Espresso 1.0.
It may not seem like a big deal, but think, that’s $850 as of right now. If you add both The Hit List and Espresso, then you’re up to $960.70 total, all for just $39. That’s 96% off of the retail price of these applications.
So head over to Macheist.com and purchase your bundle.
